Prepare the tortilla chips, if using homemade. Then, preheat the broiler. Arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Spread each chip with about 1 teaspoon refried beans. Push the tortillas together, overlapping a little, into a large round. Scatter the cheeses over the surface of the tortillas. Broil until the cheese melts and bubbles, about 1 minute. Remove from the broiler, tip the pan slightly and slide onto a serving platter with the aid of a wide spatula. Arrange the avocado and jalapeños on top. Drizzle with sour cream and salsa. Serve at once.
