1. Preheat oven to 425° F. Sprinkle bacon, onion and cheese in bottom of well greased pie tin. Beat eggs slightly in a bowl. Beat heavy cream, salt, black pepper and red pepper, if using. Pour into pie shell.
2. Bake at 425° F for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees F and bake 30 minutes longer, or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
