Stir together egg, onion soup mix, crackers and tomato sauce. Mix in ground beef with hands until well blended. Shape into loaf and place in foil-lined baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 1 and a half hours. Remove from pan and let sit for 15 minutes before slicing.
