Trim fat from pork chops. Heat 1 tablespoon shortening in skillet. Add pork chops and brown on both sides. Chop potatoes, carrots, and onion. Mix vegetables with pork chops. Dissolve beef bouillon in water. Add to stew. Add garlic powder and oregano. Cover and simmer 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and paprika.
