Heat oven to 375° F. Grease one 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 -inch loaf pan set aside. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. With a pastry blender cut in butter or margarine until consistency of coarse crumbs stir in cheese. Combine milk and eggs add to cheese mixture and stir until just combined. Spoon into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until tests done. Remove from pan and serve immediately. To serve any remaining bread, slice, butter and place under broiler.
