1. Preheat oven to 400° F. In a small bowl mix mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice.
2. Trim crusts from bread flatten with a rolling pin. Spread bread with mayonnaise mixture. Place an asparagus spear diagonally on each slice of bread fold over and secure with a wooden pick. Spread butter on top surface of bread. Sprinkle with cheese and place on baking sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
