CRUST
1 refrigerated pie shell (from 15-ounce package) or Pastry for One-Crust Pie recipe in Desserts, Cakes & Pies
FILLING
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
2 pints (4 cups) fresh whole strawberries
GARNISH
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon shortening

1. Heat oven to 450°F. Prepare pie crust for one-crust baked shell using 9-inch pie pan or 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom. Bake at 450°F. for 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 30 minutes or until completely cooled.

2. In large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and almond extract, blending well. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into cooled baked shell. Arrange strawberries, pointed side up, over filling. Refrigerate.

3. In small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Drizzle over strawberries and filling. Refrigerate 1 hour or until set. Store in refrigerator.
