1. Wash squash and pierce twice to allow steam to escape. Place in foil-lined, shallow baking pan.
2. Bake in 350°F oven 45 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, in medium-size saucepan, saute celery and onion in margarine remove from heat. Add bread cubes, cereal, poultry seasoning, apple and chicken broth, mixing until thoroughly combined.
4. Carefully cut off ends of squash half into 2 slices. Place about 1/2 cup cereal stuffing on each squash slice. Top stuffing with apple slice. Brush cut surface of squash with maple syrup and drizzle remaining over apple slices. Cover pan with foil. Return to oven and bake 35 minutes longer or until squash is tender. Serve hot.
