Serves: 5
*Bring water to a boil.
*Add rice, stir and cover tightly reduce heat and simmer until the liquid has been absorbed and the grains are tender. See "Rice Cooking Reference," page 318, or follow package instructions for specific times.
*Remove from heat and fluff with fork cover and let stand 5 minutes.
*Lifting the lid during cooking and overcooking can cause gummy, unattractive results.
*If possible, follow package directions for specifics about cooking each type of rice. One type of rice may be substituted for another, but adjustments must be made in the amount of liquid and the cooking time.
