1. GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In small bowl, combine garlic powder, salt and pepper mix well. Brush 1 side of each tomato slice with oil sprinkle lightly with seasonings.
2. When ready to grill, place tomatoes, seasoned side down, on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 4 minutes. Brush tops with remaining oil. Turn cook 4 minutes or until tender.
TIPS: * If green tomatoes are not available, firm red tomatoes can be substituted.
To broil tomatoes, place, seasoned side up, on oiled or sprayed broiler pan broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, brushing with oil and turning once.
