1. In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion until beef is thoroughly cooked. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water simmer 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
2. Line individual salad bowls or plates with lettuce. Sprinkle with corn chips. Spoon beef mixture in center of each. Sprinkle with cheese. Garnish with tomatoes. Serve with salad dressing.
TIP: * To substitute for taco seasoning mix, add 1/2 cup chili sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce when adding water to beef-onion mixture.
