1. Place chicken in a large salad bowl lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add lettuce, torn into pieces, red or green pepper, cucumber and mushrooms. Toss lightly.
2. Blend together oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste, cheese and green onions. Toss salad with enough dressing to moisten garnish with egg quarters and sprinkle with bacon pieces. Pass extra dressing.
