3 cups flour
1/2 cup dry milk powder
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup water
Fish, any kind
Sift dry ingredients together, blend in shortening. This will yield 4 1/2 cups. Take half of this mixture and add to it 1 egg and 1 cup water. Coat the fish pieces with this mixture and deep fry at 375 degrees until golden brown on both sides.
