Brown meat with onion. Put in strainer and rinse under hot water to remove excess fat. Return meat to pan. Add green pepper, tomatoes with liquid, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and stir in macaroni. Simmer 25 minutes or until macaroni is soft. Stir in corn warm through. Deliciously economical!
It's nice to know that some of the healthiest recipes can also be very fast and economical. My husband, Marty (age 53) has a missing enzyme in his blood that causes his cholesterol and triglycerides to be extremely high. During our three and one half year marriage, both his triglycerides and his cholesterol have decreased substantially because he eats like I eat. Our goal is to get his numbers as low as mine-cholesterol-140 with a high good-cholesterol (HDL) number and a low bad-cholesterol (HDL)) number, with an ideal triglyceride number. We're getting there!
