Purchase either store variety lowfat, whole-grain muffins or muffin mixes, or make your own. You could also ask your local bakery or kitchen-center store if they will bake large quantities of your own recipe. I always triple or quadruple amounts so I have plenty to freeze. Beware of the bakery muffins many stores offer. It is not uncommon for them to contain 20 to 30 fat grams each. Do not purchase them unless you have their fat gram-calorie information, their sugar content, and their nutrient and fiber information. Ask your baker or grocer for this information.
Fruit-juice-sweetened lowfat or nonfat, whole-grain muffins are the only choices that rate a solid "A".
