Serves: 5
I add 1/8 to 1/3 cup sugar to each quart of fruit, depending on the initial sweetness of the fruit. (I rinse the fruit with water before serving it.) One-fourth to 1/2 cup apple- or pineapple-juice concentrate can substitute for sugar if you are diabetic. This is more expensive, but it's worth it and it tastes great. You can mix the pineapple- and apple-juice concentrate for a more balanced flavor. (Dole Orchard Peach juice concentrate is great for peaches.)
