By varying the colors and flavors, taste and visual appeal are greatly enhanced along with the nutritional value. Try the following combinations or create your own.
1. Pineapple rings, green grapes, and strawberries.
2. Purple grapes, orange slices, and kiwi slices.
3. Watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew chunks.
4. Plum, peach, and pear slices.
5. Mandarin oranges, raspberries, and green grapes.
6. Banana slices, blueberries, and nectarines.
Any one of the previous fruits makes a good meal complement along with:
7. Lightly sweetened or no-sugar-added applesauce with apple chunks mixed in.
8. Apple slices in lemon water.
9. Any canned or bottled fruit in light syrup (rinsed) such as peaches, apricots, pears, fruit cocktail, pineapple, etc.
