Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking soda and stir until blended. Cut butter in pieces and add to flour mixture. Blend with mixer on low until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add nuts and coconut Stir until well mixed. Set aside 2 cups of the flour mixture. Press remaining mixture into bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and spread jam over baked crust. Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over filling. Bake another 15 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
