1. Arrange 5 pieces of cereal into 20 cluster or log shapes on waxed paper, set aside.
2. In double boiler, stirring constantly, melt caramels in milk over medium heat.
3. Add chocolate, corn syrup and margarine, stirring constantly until creamy. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
4. Measure one-half tablespoon of chocolate-caramel mixture and pour over cluster or log. Decorate with chopped nuts, coconut or halved pecans. Let cool.
