1. Combine butter and brown sugar in small saucepan and cook on medium- high heat until butter is melted. Pour into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
2. Arrange French bread slices in dish, squeezing to fit.
3. Beat together eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour over bread. Sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate over night.
4. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Drizzle with maple syrup.
