1. Heat oven to 375°.
2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt in mixing bowl.
3. Mix together bananas, eggs, buttermilk and applesauce and add to dry ingredients. Stir just until blended.
4. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
5. Coat muffin cups with cooking spray.
6. Pour 1/4 cup batter into each muffin cup.
7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
