1. Heat oven to 350°.
2. Melt butter in medium saucepan. Add onions and cook until softened.
3. Stir in flour. Add milk, a little at a time, stirring until mixture is smooth and thickens.
4. Add cheese and cook, stirring, until cheese is melted.
5. Arrange half the egg slices in bottom of 7x11 inch glass baking dish. Pour half the cheese mixture over eggs, then half the bacon. Repeat layers.
6. Bake for 30 minutes.
7. Serve over toasted bread.
