1. In medium saucepan sprinkle gelatin over milk. Let stand for 5 minutes. Cook and stir over low heat until gelatin dissolves. Stir in chocolate morsels until melted. Stir in vanilla. Beat with wire whisk until mixture is smooth.
2. Pour chocolate mixture into bowl. Refrigerate until mixture mounds when spooned, stirring occasionally.
3. Fold whipped topping into chocolate mixture. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or until set.
4. Garnish as desired. Store in refrigerator.
