1. In medium-size mixing bowl, stir together cereal, sugar and cinnamon. Using pastry blender, cut in margarine until crumbly set aside for topping.
2. Mix together cereal, flour, salt, baking powder and soda set aside.
3. In large bowl of electric mixer, beat margarine, sugar, egg and lemon juice until light and fluffy. Add cereal mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in applesauce. Spread evenly in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with reserved cereal topping.
4. Bake in 350°F oven about 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool slightly before serving.
