1. In medium saucepan stir together 3/4 cup sugar and cornstarch. Stir in egg yolks, sour cream and raisins. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Cook and stir for 1 minute more. Stir in walnuts. Keep warm.
2. In small mixing bowl beat egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla on high speed of electric mixer until foamy. Gradually add 1/3 cup sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
3. Spread raisin mixture in crust. Spread meringue on top of filling, sealing carefully to edge of crust. Bake on baking sheet at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack for 1 hour.
4. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Store in refrigerator.
